THE THERAPUTIC PROCESS
The successfulness of therapy tends to depend on the client's investment in the process. In essence, a counselor cannot work harder than the client they are serving. It is important that upon beginning therapy, you are ready, willing, and open to the process and doing the work that is needed to overcome the challenges in which you feel are adversely impacting your quality of life. Therapy is a journey that cannot be completed in one day, one week, or even one month. The frequency of sessions is often based on that client's individual needs.
At the initial evaluation, the following will take place:
1
SCREENING ASSESSMENT(S)
2
CLIENT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED
3
EXPLORATION OF CLIENT GOALS
4
DEVELOPMENT OF TREATMENT GOALS FOR CLIENT
IF CLIENT AGREES TO PARTICIPATE IN TREATMENT
5

Employee Assistance Programs: TICC is unable to accept EAPs as a form of service fee coverage.
Uninsured/Self-Pay Clients: For prospective clients who do not have insurance, self-pay is also an accepted method of payment for counseling services. Below you will find a break down of payment rates for the various services that are offered at the TICC.

Fees Notice:
Clients who late cancel (within 24 hours of appointment) or
do not appear for sessions will incur a fee.*
Late Cancellation Fee: $95
Failure to Appear for Appointment ("No-Show") Fee: $100

*Because fees cannot be charged to clients covered by MCOs (Medicaid Insurances), such clients will be provided a Compliance Contract following a series of late cancellations and/or no-shows, which must be followed to prevent such clients from being discharged as clients of TICC. If late cancellations or no-shows continue after the Compliance Contact is provided, this pattern is identified as behaviors impeding therapy goals and will then result in such clients being discharged and provided referrals to another counseling service.
