Lexington-Codell; Telehealth
Hello! My name is Olivia, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Kentucky. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Taylor University in 2019 and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2023. I have worked within community mental health programs and have gained experience with people of all ages who may have a diagnosis including but not limited to PTSD, bipolar, depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral issues, eating disorders, schizophrenia, and addictive disorders. I have a keen interest in cognitive neuroscience as it relates to the mechanisms of psychopathology and prefer a holistic approach to therapy, striving for best practices of emotional, cognitive, and physical wholeness.
Within my therapy sessions with clients, I implement a variety of approaches based on individual needs and preferences, utilizing therapeutic modalities including but not exclusive to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Child-Centered Play Therapy. I am also certified in Prepare and Enrich for Couples. I am eager to work with both children and adults of any age, with my objective for individuals in therapy being to help cultivate cognitive skills that help them overcome trauma and navigate a variety of other mental health related concerns.
